In recent years, the State Drug Administration has earnestly implemented the deployment and requirements of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, adhered to the new development concept, continuously deepened the reform of the medical equipment review and approval system, strengthened the whole life cycle management of medical devices, stimulated the industry innovation vitality and promoted the high-quality development of the industry. At present, the development of biomaterial technology is changing rapidly. More and more new technologies and materials are widely used in medical devices. However, challenges still exist. The scientific and technological innovation and industrial development of biomaterials in China are not closely linked. There are short boards in R & D and production. The policy system and standard system supporting the high-quality development of biological materials field need to be further improved.

For promoting the development of the platform for innovation and cooperation in biomaterials, Jiao Hong puts forward four suggestions.
